Dumas 24" Jenny Lee Tug

The Jenny Lee is about 50% fact, 50% fiction, but certainly 100% fun.  The Jenny Lee is loosely based off harbor tugs that operated in the Southern United States from the early 1900’s to the 1940’s.  Designed to give an introductory experience in plank on frame construction, this model features balsa planked construction over laser cut poplar plywood frames with expanded pvc construction for the pilot house.  Some of the detail elements include cast metal fittings, wood turnings, vacuum forms, color decals and laser cut detail parts.  The kit documentation include a full size plan, a 47 page instruction manual, and a packet containing 79 figure detail drawings so even first time modelers will feel at ease.
